Unsquare Rooms

This series began in 2019 when I spent a week in Maine at MECA. My motto: toss all the ideas onto the page and let them duke it out. I also let myself get really specific and careful. Fussy time is here! Create space / deny space. Confuse space.

Mixed media: acrylic, latex, watercolor, graphite on 22x30” Stonehenge. Some have collage, fabric, thread. Final bluish piece is pigment print with acrylic, latex, and colored pencil.

Pink Room is an outlier: pigment print with collaged carbon paper, acrylic, and fancy ribbon.

Exhibited in my show at Rhodes Art Center, Northfield Mount Hermon School in 2019, and at Albany Airport Arts and Culture from fall 2021 to spring 2022.
