wonky geometry
2017-2021. Shown at Mezze 2018-19.
FACETS are all illusions of bas relief, using found material from the recycle bin: packaging, old paintings, printed matter galore. I’m thinking about how to create, deny, and distort space. Is it convex or concave? Spatial understanding flips around and gets all weird and wonky. When you see them in person, there’s also a play with reflective and matte found papers/materials.
